Grievance Redressal

Where to take a problem — with a service in your village, with a listed official, or with KSVT itself — and what happens to it after you send it.

This page is for anyone with a problem to raise — with a service in their village, with a government official listed on this platform, or with KSVT itself.

Before you send anything, one thing you should know. Karnataka Super Village Team is an independent, citizen-led organisation. It is not a department of the Government of Karnataka. It holds no governmental authority, it belongs to no political party, and it cannot order any office to act. What it can do is record what you report, keep that record, and work constructively with the authority responsible. Please read the rest of this page with that limit in mind.

KSVT is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first. Use this platform afterwards, to put what happened on record.

WHERE TO TAKE YOUR PROBLEM

A problem with something in your village — a broken hand pump, a road, a streetlight, a service that has not arrived — is filed as an issue. A public issue is visible to your village, so your neighbours can see it. If it is a matter you would rather your village did not see, you can file it as a confidential case instead.

A complaint about a named government official is filed against that official's own entry. Open the officials directory, open the person's profile, and use "Lodge a complaint" there. The complaint lands on the record of the person it names.

Something you need kept away from local officials — a report of corruption — should not go into the ordinary issue list. Use the confidential corruption report instead.

WHAT CONFIDENTIAL MEANS HERE

A confidential case is visible only to KSVT Super Admins. Every time one is opened, that access is logged — and so is every attempt that was refused.

Confidentiality inside KSVT is not the same as safety outside it. Do not confront anyone to gather evidence, and leave out personal details your report does not need.

IF YOUR PROBLEM IS WITH KSVT

If your grievance is about this platform — your account, your membership record, something in your own data that looks wrong — sign in and go to Member, then Support. Account and data requests are handled on the Member, Account & Safety screen. If you are not a member, use the Contact page.

From Account & Safety you can ask for a copy of the personal information KSVT holds about you, ask for your account to be closed, and see which devices are signed in so you can sign the others out. An approved closure waits thirty days before anything is erased, so you can change your mind and cancel the request inside that window.

On identity: KSVT stores only the last four digits of your Aadhaar number, encrypted, and never the full number. Those four digits are masked in the interface and are never written to logs, audit records or exports. Your membership number — for example KSVT-KA34-000001 — is yours permanently and is never reissued to anyone else.

HOW LONG A RECORD IS KEPT

An issue is kept for seven years. Evidence attached to a resolved issue is kept for five years. The audit log, which is what shows who did what to your case, is kept for seven years. Personal data on an archived account is kept for three years.

WHAT WE DO NOT PROMISE

This page gives you no deadline, because we would not be able to keep one. KSVT cannot compel an office to act and cannot guarantee any outcome. Filing here does not start a government investigation. If nothing above fits your situation, say so through Support or the Contact page rather than forcing your report into the wrong channel.

This page describes how KSVT works today. It is pending review by a qualified adviser before launch.
